Because I sure as hell did
. I remember being a young Joey going
, I GOTTA GET THIS TO BE A PART OF HISTORY!Only to see that the mofo dropped another album that following year

@ the commercial....never saw that....but yeah, I believed it and gotdamn I wish he stuck to itWhat if he stayed retired?
im just talking about making albums.
he still would do features
how would his legacy be seen as
. If P was real about the retirement, he would have been more focus with pushing No Limit into a new generation, instead of trying to have hoop dreams at the age of 30 and falling out with BBTP.P was probably up like 100ms at this point as he had just signed that deal with Priority 2 years prior. He probably was going to really retire and go out biting Pac’s flow with no fukks given
I got that album in real time and didn’t even know it was a retirement album until years later
The whole album was like a farewell departure experience, thus the name "Last Don". You had the album cover with the cool moving hand cross thing, the double album steez which was....low key fire, and hell even the album had a legit close out track. Dude really seem like he was on the verge of checking out, and if he would had just kept the business afloat and not try to do that NBA shyt, he would probably passed the tank down to his Son and em.
Hell, I feel if P was still holding it down after the album, C goofy ass wouldn't have got that life bid, and Mac would have been straight because the captain would have kept the squad focus.
I know the nikka lies a lot but he really is a legend in this rap shyt
