Al Sharpton was going IN :laff:

They didn't hold any punches :picard:

No wonder Biden was getting antsy... dude was like "yo hold up..." :gucci:

Biden say there for over an hour and took hella shot :mjlol: then he replied and started breaking it down and reaffirmed his commitment to black interests and hiring and representation. This was dope.

some of y’all need so respect the black leaders too. They held it down for Shirley sherrod, voting rights, being against rahm Emmanuel, black economics etc. and Biden also directly and explicitly defended his commitment and his record to change.

this was not that bad at all. Idk what people were expecting.

What's the general gist, I'm not watching that shyt. Are they mad about black cabinet members or something else.

I'm so tired of this bullshyt with the cabinet, and frankly I feel that Biden looks weak. Granted it was a bad look to come out the gate handing everything to white people - that showed how much he truly appreciates the work black people put in for him, ie not much. But the course correction he took - nominating a black general as sec of defense - was idiotic to me. We could have had a black CIA chief - hell maybe we still will, but the point is that person is far better qualified than giving another general a position that only civilians should hold. Just because he's black.

honestly it wasn't that bad

It was progressives trying to frame this shyt as a bad look

Biden was hitting all the notes lowkey and kinda showing his credibility in trying to bridge the gap.

it could be way worse.

He's WAY more direct on black issues than Obama was.

Biden condescended to them and dismissed their concerns, treating them like petulant stepchildren who needed a scolding. His tone was disrespectful, his sensitivity to their concerns minimal, and his refusal to make a commitment on using his office to address those concerns blatant. Progressives didn’t need to frame this at all, since his recorded words provide all that is necessary to draw the only conclusion one could reach after listening to him speak - he does not care about black people and has an obvious disdain for any who would dare hold him to account.

he really didn't

they all had smoke and biden was saying "yo look Im not the enemy here and I have a track record of getting shyt done"...

Dude legit sat there for like an hour and 10 minutes and got hammered then was like... "yo listen, theres a lot of shyt we're doing that NO ONE has done before"

and don't get me wrong, he's as insensitive as any white guy in power will be. Some are better than others but at least he's having that convo.

This NEVER happened with Obama, probably because he didn't want to bring extra attention to the fact he was black ...and we saw how that turned out.

BIden is leaps and bounds from where most presidents were on this stuff so its a start.

Listen to the whole thing.

:mjlol:This is written like someone who did not listen to the entire dialog at all.

He sat there for an hour listening to all the civil rights leaders complaining as if he's backtracking on everything he said he would do for black people.

Then finally breh gets all ancy & says I ain't got time for this let's get something straight. Im gonna do everything I said (provided he gets the 2 GA seats next month) during my campaign. We got a lot of shyt to fix and get Done but we'll get there. I'm on your side. The top issue for my administration will be addressing racial equity.

He ended saying they'll have access to him regularly. He'll even call each one of them individually to hear all the specifics of what they feel needs to be done for the black community. The complete opposite of dismissing them

Yall really this mad that Trump lost? :russ: I was expecting a lot worse.

You're right and I hate this whole thing that our community is mostly doing and have been doing since Biden announced he was gonna pick a woman VP.

When he made that announcement, negroes started saying "she better be black "

Then after he picked a black woman, then negroes started going in because every single member of his cabinet aint black

Aint no pleasing these folks.

If we as black ppl feel this way, Biden better man up and tell them nikkas to go to hell.

They have absolutely no respect for the office of president. I have no problem with you telling the president what you want.

But going out there demanding it just don't sit right. Seems like they're doing it wrong

And right now, Biden is going along with it. But real talk and this may get a few negs... but this is why a lot of the time folks don't listen to us.

We aint never satisfied and want to get blood from a turnip. The old saying give a nicca an inch and he'll take a mile aint that far off from the truth. :snoop:

Yep. You can tell who didn't listen.

IDK who you know wills stand there and get peppered like that and for them not to even respond slightly.

Biden was like... man hold up, I'm not tagging progressive on my forehead like AOC but I get shyt done and yall can depend on me and will see a diverse cabinet and government.

I can't even hate. This shyt was more fair than people are making it seem.

This is Joe Biden we're talking about.

See here's my problem.

Bernie wasn't receptive to this shyt either!!!

So to sit here and act like Bernie would have been a hair better is a slap in the face honestly.

They're just lying and people like Briahna Joy Gray are just gloating and still haven't recovered over the fact Bernie lost.

There was countless articles of internal strife with black staffers on his campaign too!
