Eh, it wasn't really accurate though, if you take the time read the Kitty Pride original blog/post, she compares Beyonce's album to quite a few Black artists. Its not really that she is comparing everything to a white artist, as it is she is comparing EVERY single song, hook etc, to other top hip pop songs.

Also the original article is written in that hipster 'ironic' style that spawned grown 25 year old men walking around with my little pony t-shirts. It isnt really meant to be taken to serious, so any ether is really misplaced, and once you read the original article you understand the ether is really just a queertastic rant. now granted I find the fact that the direction of hip hop is being driven by dudes with my little pony t-shirts and chicks who think its ironically clever to mumble 9th grade level poetry off beat while throwing up gang signs is sad in and of itself...
