Did you live thru the wired controller age?

I was just imagining if we still was on that wave today and how would that work?

People would trip on the controller, your system might fall from wherever you had it. Nintendo's in particular were usually on the floor to avoid that issue. Ditto with the 16-bit era

If wired controllers were still a thing, I would only game in the bedroom because my kids would knock over my system multiple times a day. I now better understand why parents would often get mad and be like "not right now champ" because I can tell you right now, I wouldn't tolerate 3-4 8-18yr olds taking over the living room with cords everywhere for hours at a time

i have to admit though, now that i'm used to wireless, i don't feel the need to go back to the old ways.

Yeah I don't miss my dualshock cords shorting out.

The Duke controller was the goat wired controller. It had a long cord so you can play pretty far away and a breakaway cable which made it hard for someone to knock the console down after tripping.

My controller is still wired up so the battery don't die, I just got a USB plug built into my recliner that I use to charge it up so I don't trip over the cord.

But all jokes aside the Xbox controller is greatest controller ever. It just improved upon the Genesis and PlayStation controllers in every way.

Still using a wired xbox 360 controller for my pc and will not get a wireless replacement until it breaks, maybe.
