my apartment is in pretty good shape i have good stuff all over but im in desperate need for a new sofa. im looking at spending around $1600 on a sofa set but am wondering if thats too much

i can afford it but it will definitely be a chunk of change taken from me. i could go the cheap route but im thinking thats the shytty way to go. if i buy this set i will have sofa and recliner for years to come and guest who come over will enjoy it more

did you spend good money for a sofa?

if you could see the $86 3 seat Wal Mart Futon im on now you would laugh really hard at me. its cheaper than my shoes

I really dont understand this mentality..... whatever you buy is cheap or expensive in relation to what you earn or what you are worth....

If you can afford it and you like it then why the debate?..... If you cant then get something cheaper

It all depends on how much you would use it...I am barely home so for me to spend over $1600 on any piece of furniture is not going to happen (except for my bed of course)

Yea. There was a thread about it on :hamster:

Sofa is the one piece you shouldn't skimp on.

PLEASE DON'T OVER-SPEND, AND PLEASE DON'T UNDER-SPEND.
I was contemplating craigslist but I couldn't do it!! I don't think I'd ever buy used furniture other than tables, bookcases, aquariums etc. Went with the 90 day same as cash plan and paid that shyt off early. They sent me credit increases and everything but I got what I needed and bounced.

I find inexpensive stuff that i like at the Goodwill, The Dollar store, and at Walmart.
