Of course.
I'm one of the brehs old enough to have been into basketball in 1993. NBA and Mike specifically were in every household. It was part of our lives. So when his father died, we all kinda felt that. He was a different man after that. And though we knew he had more in the tank, we all respected his decision.
Coming back with the 45 was an amazing day tho.

I think there's a lot of "What ifs" at play such as.
If his pops never died, would he retired to begin with?
Is the rumored "Secret Suspension" from Stern true?
If the mlb strike never happened would he have stayed playing baseball?

No. I knew he would be back. Besides the rumors, his baseball career was a joke and he was too good and too competitive to stay away from the game.
