theres a difference between Networth and Earnings....
there are many artists who have made more than Diddy last year....but the value of turning all his assets into cash is his networth and he leads everyone.
Dre (Headphones) or 50 (Vitamin Water) could make 100 million from a cash out but that doesnt mean they will make that kind of money per annum. And it could be to sell their equity or shares in a company that decreases their networth for the cash payout. Those capital earnings are also taxed and not worth anything the next year unless they re-invest the money in other avenues.
Puff been consistently on this list since the 90s, when he was on the cover with Jerry Seinfield....all these lists dont really interest him anymore.
His new Music Channel and Film Comany "Revolt" launching in 2013 should put him close to being Hiphop's first Billionaire. And thats just one of the new up and coming ventures.
