Where was I downplaying his lyricism? How do you take one thing and twist it into another :heh: All I said was that he's not preaching anything new yet Diddy is implying that he is. He's just one of the first in a while to do it while selling a lot of records. Regardless, there are plenty of good lyricists out there who are just as good, if not better than Kendrick. He just happened to do it over great beats & Dr. Dre behind the boards.

as long as you acknowledge that those artist that are just as 'good, if not better than kendrick' aren't preaching anything new either (because no one is), then it's all good. it would make your response null and void, though.
