Nah man im trying to learn, im 22 and rock walmart watches

I had a friend who's aunt got deployed to the middle east back in 2010 and got it for him (for cheap) and it was too big for his wrist so he let me have it. He's like 6'8 190 or sumn. Might just give it to my dad for his bday or something. I guess he didnt know how much it costs.
So there's tiers to the "big" brands ie Breitling and Rolex? Sort of like a 3 series BMW vs a 5 series?
Explain it to me bc im trying to learn.
difference between rolex and seiko is simple... the history
rolex has such a rich history of innovation and quality it's almost unparalleled in the industry. did you know rolex created the 1st ever water resistant watch? every watch rolex makes came with a purpose, from the Submariner (diving) to the Daytona (timing/racing) to the Explorer (cave diving). rolexes are rugged watches that can be beat on pretty hard... no need to baby them.
nothing sexy about the movement, but it is a work horse
they are also one of the only watch brands (honestly brands in general) to maintain their value. you can buy a used sub for 3-4k, wear it for 5 years and still get your 3-4k out of it if you decide to sell it. can you say that about another brand? a car? tv?
you really want to get into watches as an investment purpose though i highly recomend getting into vintage rolexes... they are the only ones that will continue to skyrocket in value... i own a couple of vintage daytonas a model 6263 and a 6239, when they came out in the 60's they cost about 8-9 hundo. today both watches are 30k+
lastly they are definite tiers to watches... the top being patek phillipe, richard mille etc
i am a huge vintage rolex collector feel free to ask me any questions you might have
