I think without any interference, about 105 boys are born for every 100 girls.

Boys have higher mortality rates....and then engage in riskier behavior....so by the time you get to middle age, women should outnumber or at least be at parity with men.

Yes men are much more risk takers and aggressive gamblers than women. Because of different genetics, biology and hormonal profiles. Testosterone, THE male hormone, has a big impact on the mental behavior, sexuality, and physical aptitudes of men.

Girls have better immune systems than boys, the last I heard. So females already slightly outnumber males at infancy if sex-selective abortions and infanticide doesn't come into play.

Then as they age, more boys and men are killed, crippled and institutionalized. And that's just in peace time. In actual war time, the male population declines significantly or collapses.

Yup, there’s alot more nuance to this discussion. We haven’t got to the prison discussion, that more than 90% of incarcerated American prisoners are men. So off the bat, that’s over one million of the market (I say that but they still get women pen pals).

Gays, prisoners, deported illegal immigrants , suicides, institutionalized men in mental health hospitals, dead soldiers( in war time) dead gangbangers, etc all reduce male population(and competition for straight women)
