Keeping my overhead low, and my understand high
To my hoopers and footballers...

What's some of the cultural differences y'all have noticed ?

For example:

In soccer, when a foul is committed and you're trying to show affection towards your counterpart it's not uncommon to touch his face.

In basketball, you touch somebody's face and you asking for trouble :whoa:

That's more attributable to the cultures in which the sports are popular than the sports themselves though. If you touch somebody's face at a friendly/park soccer game in the US it prolly won't end well :ld:

nah, it's because a foul is a foul in basketball, except in rare cases. in soccer you foul someone and then act real nice to dude so you show the ref you weren't being overaggressive and you can try to avoid a warning or a yellow

I never understood the dap at the free-throw line thing. Why do EVERY-NBA-PLAYER do it. It's like they refuse to shoot the second FT if they dont get the daps

In football in some countries fans can run on the pitch and the players will talk it up with them before the fan is thrown out

It was a study in the nba they said the teams that touched each other a lot usually had better chemistry which led to more wins on the court :manny:

Edit: NBA Teams that Touch the Most Win the Most
