The U.S. Army announced Monday that it has updated its camouflage uniforms once more in an ongoing effort to provide better protection for its soldiers, according to a news release by the Army News Service. The Army had previously released a new version of its uniform last summer.

I really enjoyed the navy uniforms that made sailors who fell overboard impossible to spot. Thought they were really onto something. Equally humorous were the some of the uniforms they guy the guys in Afghanistan that didn't blend with the environment at all. I know they wasted a lot of money.

Years ago, I remember seeing this news piece on digital camo. It breaks up (or supposedly breaks up) the visual pattern even better than regular camo.

So is this going to be the new standard uniform? Because we (All American Forces) except the Marines already wear these in Afghanistan.

Edit: I guess so. These uniforms were comfortable as hell when I wore them.
