Digital foundry admits they got their original Ryse analysis all wrong.

:comeon:Really dude. The competitive aspect in the multi of sports games gives you way more variety and replay value than a ge like ryse...not to mention the gameplay even playing against the cpu is more deep....you are reaching.

no too much of a reach...... a racing game with pretty much the same thing which is cars (granted some faster, some slower) driving on roads (granted some have more turns and curves than others but the premise remains the same.

Sports games..... football for example...... you for the most have a set number of plays (though lets be honest, no one EVER USES EVERY PLAY IN THE PLAYBOOK, we normally master the best or top 15) you pass and run. On defense you run and tackle, gameplay for the most part never changes.

Basketball, you run and either shoot a shoot or dunk....... I mean, yes.... there are minor details that give somewhat a "variety" but overall its still repetitive. I'm not trynna diss it and thats my point, we gotta stop using "repetitiveness" as a knock on games. Super Mario is arguably the most repetitive game of all time and yet people view it as a classic and people would still pick it up to play

Nothing is more repetitive than rpg, race games, and to a degree sports games since you're running the same plays and etc but no one ever seems to have a problem or complain about that :sas1:

Strategy and competition involved in those games>>>

I don't play rpgs, but stfu...racing, or any other sport is a different experience every time, especially when most ppl play straight multiplayer nowdays. You tried too hard

Im not trying hard enough:skip:

:whoa: Dude.... I'm not trynna diss you or pick a fight....... my point is... the whole "bu bu bu but this is repetitive" argument should be:camby:

Just cuz a game is repetitive dont make it bad..... word to fighting games (didnt mention that earlier....... Kick is A, Punch is B, so on and so on :sas2: )

Just stop. Everything you've tried to compare Ryses repetitiveness to doesn't even make sense

Knocking games for repetitiveness doesnt make sense when a lot of classic games are.

Sometimes when a game has too many personalities makes it confusing and dumb and unfocused. Keeping It Simple sometimes is the best direction

Have you played Ryse or any game you're referring to? I'm not sure that you have

The Truth
Even though I never finished it, I never understood the hate for it. And there's a lot of games I've had fun with and never finished the campaign neither

If the gameplay mechanics that are repetitive are shytty mechanics, then yes, the repetitiveness does make it bad.

Chi-Town to Tampa
Since you've been so obsessed with reviews lately, maybe you should go back and see why this game got shyt on.

It was panned for reasons beyond how it looked.
