A lot of fans are mad as hell:pacspit: First time he'll miss the game in over 30 years

"You can say what you want about dikk Vitale, but the man loves the UNC-Duke rivalry. If he's not calling the game, it's the end of an era."

"going to miss hearing your play-by-play this Wednesday. THE Rivalry won't be the same without you"

dikk Vitale is 75 man.

He is at a point where his health could go any minute.
It's like the Dodgers and Vin Scully.

These people are up there in age and probably shouldn't be working. So you appreciate them for what they are but you can't be mad if they go off the air.

Raleigh by way of Crooklyn
He's working Tuesday though...kentucky game

I think it has more to do with the way that Cameron is set up. The broadcasters aren't right on the sideline like they typically are at other arenas. You're up in the rafters, above the crowd. So he probably can't see as well in order to adequately call the game, as he probably is able to do sitting in his normal spot on the sidelines at Kentucky.
