his best body of work
this album caught me by surprise because I remember that lil BBE label started putting together producer compilations and I heard the Pete Rock joint first so I was expecting something in the same vein but what we got was a full fledged album not just beat tape but musically diverse and rich. Shyt goes from soul, hip hop, afrobeat down to bossanova effortlessly. I always trip out listening to such hard raps on smooth soundscapes. Love this album man. Shyt made me a believer. He wasn't just making beats he made timeless music.

I don't know anything like it. Dilla was on a whole other level. Even Pete Rock said he got a lil shook when he heard this he wans't ready...

The whole series that BBE did was fire. It was run by a Ghanaian breh out in London.

The Pete Rock album had nuff Roc Marci with The UN on it, back in 01-02:banderas:. Spinna's was dope. Will I Am's one had some joints too :ehh:

I don't think I ever checked the Madlib one, actually :ohhh:
