Yeah, the partially responsible for people abandoning baggy clothes. Some urban retailers stopped selling baggy clothes altogether after they achieved success.

Dipset brought in that rock star look in 2007 and Hip Hop began to wear fitted clothing. Dipset 2002-2007 was the GOAT trendsetting movement.

New Boyz and the whole L.A. jerk movement brought in the skinny jeans era which Hip Hop now copies ie. Wiz Khalifa, Lil Wayne, etc.

Dipset fans were still rocking baggy gear... It wasn't until jim jones rocker swagg that they changed the sizes up. Even then most people had already upgraded to fitted clothing... Unless u take your fashion cues from rappers. Lol @ ed hardy skull tees with true religions and chains hanging on ya pocket being trend setting :snoop: :heh:

In the end it doesn't matter cuz shyt goes in cycles... NWA wore tight ass pants too cuz that was normal back then. These new rappers ain't doing anything that wasnt done before.

this dude @Tom in here trolling, posting pics from 2002.:aicmon:

jones, max, stack & juelz were on it long before "ballin". im talking like 2 years before "ballin". and its more of a byrd gang/skull gang style, but its still under the dipset umbrella.

:stopitslime:

thats because tight jeans were the ONLY jeans back then.

nobody said that dipset created the look. very few rappers created any of the trends that they set. but they blew it up. jim jones was synonymous with the look before it became popular and whe it became popular. he was both complimented and criticized for it for a reason.

youre in denial or just out-the-loop if you think otherwise.

I know they were the only jeans around :snoop: aka normal and not considered skinny jeans. Jim jones definitely popularized a more fitted look as did cam the color pink but the clothes jim and juelz wore were not custom made they were out there for anyone to buy. The most drastic fashion switch I ever seen as a result of hip hop still has to be Jay killing the jersey game with one line. Had nikkaz looking at racks full of throwbacks with tears in they eyes :to:

:what:barely any rapper ever blew up custom-made chit.

jay-z didnt kill anything. jerseys were already about to be done. jay saw the obvious and attached his name to it. him dissing jerseys added insult to injury and made them extinct. i'll give him that much. but hes always been a phoney trendsetter b. sorry.
