Impressive Top 10. Can't really argue 1-9. There can be an argument made that Dipset can replace The Lox tho.

Classic Niccas
dipset & g-unit are not groups.
neither is the juice crew.
but people are in here arguing about solos, so whatever.

naughty by nature isn't from new York.

run dmc & public enemy should be battling it out for 1 & 2.
and more '80s groups should be in there.

G-Unit and Dipset influenced this whole generation

No they didn't

Chief Keef & that chiraq movement was more influential to this era than Dipset

Dipset was just a trendy local internet wave that lasted a year or two

Dipset is more known for getting beat up, stabbed, shot at, jumped at the Rucker, etc then actual classic music :yeshrug:

I looked at your list and I humbly agree...especially in the context you put it

As a NYC kid coming of age at that moment this couldn't be further from the truth bud

Kiss > Cam
Pinero > Juelz
Louch > Jomo

D Block mixtapes > Dipset mixtapes

Lox collective solo albums > Dipset collective solos

......

Nah

I agree with you in regards to the individual rappers. I say it can be an argument made because Dipset had a huge impact that is even felt today. A lot of this generation's rappers are heavily influenced by Dip. Much more so than The Lox/D-Block. Also as much as I love The Lox, they don't have any solo or group classics and the only album in their catalog that can probably come near Diplomatic Immunity is Styles Gangsta and a Gentleman. Lox solos are mostly meh and Dip solos are mostly meh. That cancels each other out. Both camps had dope mixtapes.

You can pull up interviews and tweets from everybody from Kendrick, J Cole to Chief Keef to ASAP Rocky

They all list G-Unit and Dipset as what they grew up on. You made a solid list but you've overestimated some groups on there. It's all about impact
