Double Negative People, Computer Music Academy, and Scratch Magazine TV are excited to announce a joint project that re-imagines the lyrical artistry of the Notorious B.I.G., who lost his life twenty years ago. "BIG" will be released on March 9, 2017, which is the twenty-year anniversary of his death, which remains unsolved. The project encompasses the work of over a dozen producers and was mixed and executive produced by Mr. Wallace, a Michigan producer, engineer, and educator who co-founded the hip-hop collective Double Negative People.
About a year ago, Anthony Gadget Mims, hip-hop curator, entrepreneur, and owner of Scratch Magazine TV and Digital Hustle Films began a weekly Google Hangout to discuss hip-hop production and culture with members of his team. Tasherre Risay and members of his subscription-based production support service computermusicacademy.com joined as well. Along with other new faces, they forged an international coalition of diverse producers from the US, Europe, Japan, and all points in between.
Join us as we celebrate the work of a hip-hop icon with "BIG." This free project will be available at doublenegativepeople.com on March 9, 2017.
