This is the kind of shyt that happens when kids don't know history. I blame my generation for eroding the value of that aspect of the culture.

Give us a history lesson, post the evidence of these flows being used in the past.

You "history buffs" are all talk and when it comes time to post proof you're either left grasping at straws or end up posting a song that proves you're absolutely clueless about that subject matter.

Any videos of him performing songs like this live? Seems like he couldn't even remember half the shyt while singing in the car so I'm just curious how songs like this translate to his live performances

Dude has put his own twist on things but these flows are hardly brand new. Nelly was the first nikka to really rap sing, Bone Thugs/Twista/Busta Rhymes and countless others did the double time, Future did the mumbemouth druggie flow. Thugger has just "carefully curated" previously invented elements into something fresh but familiar. I will give credit where it's due... he's doing his thing, he's technically proficient, he makes enjoyable music. But miss me with all this "creating new flows" nonsense. I don't think there has been anything "new" in mainstream rap (which includes this blogger friendly "mixtape" stuff) for a decade.

nothing is new anywhere. everything has been done, and at best, people now are just putting different spins on the previous work, knowingly or unknowingly. that said, hes not unlocking new flows, but hes just using double time flows in a cooler way, in that snippet (cant wait for that song to drop, BTW :blessed:)

im sure theres plenty of double time bone thugs songs (the joint with pac had some crazy flows, down '71 might be another example) or twista, or tech n9ne joints we can post. but i tihnk its cool how he hops around on the beat, its typical double time, but he puts in pauses and kinda shifts it around on the drums, its not straight forward hibbity bibbity jibbity smibbity cadence you might get from other rappers. the production also seems to enhance it a great deal too.

if anything id say this shyt was structurally closer to tech n9ne than bone thugs, but thats just me
these songs arent as fast as thugs, but dudes are all over with the flows in all of these.

for the lazy who keep asking about videos,
