Discuss Nas - Illmatic vs AZ - Doe or Die (The Final Stand)

Ok I had a good opening to this discussion but it's early and my brain is dead.

But as of 2013.

I find myself listening to Doe or Die more.

I think Az really kicked knowledge fluidly on Doe or Die.
Nas did his thing but you can tell he was just playing with lyrics and words.
Az kickin' knowledge just sounded more....natural

I'm going with Brooklyn

Yeah. Not that it's bad but some if it was low budget and that weird rap a lot beat at the end didn't belong.

Illmatic more consistent to me. But Do Or Die great with some exceptional standouts.

Do Or Die is the desert after Illmatic main course

Doe or Die is a good album but not a great album. Some of it has to do with the production, some of it has to do with sequencing. It starts off really strong and then kinda falters and then picks back up. Illmatic is just consistent with MAYBE one weak track (one time 4 ya mind) and even that is a relative weakness. Gimme Yours is pure
And it may be spiteful, but I gotta take points off for not having this version of Your World Don't Stop on the album
