Put your thoughts and opinions out there. This should be interesting.

Personally, I think the internet has made people really superficial and fake. To the point where people are more fake IRL and real-er online.

I think its been a great invention for the most part but there are always 2 sides to a coin. I think the pros outweigh the cons though. I think the worst things about the internet is social media and the fact that you can find the most depraved filth you can think of at the click of a button. But yeah, it has done great things for us too.

One of my favourite things is how easy it is to find information and shop online. Anything you wanna know or buy is all a mouse click away. Also free music and movies is pretty good. Also the fact that independent artists in music and film can do so much without having corporations/record labels backing them, with all their bullshyt politics.

Blessing in my opinion.

It's much more difficult for the oppressors to control the freedom of information now. Sure it comes with it's downsides but the internet has made knowledge so accessible.

True. You can start businesses online, etc...as well.

It's both a blessing and a curse.
as with every good thing in life. But the good outweigh the bad greatly.

Even what the OP stated is a good thing, the internet has exposed people for who they are.

The best thing the internet has done is bring people together. This has led to economic and personal growth. It also has expedited a lot of processes and given us access to information that we once couldnt afford.

And um...ample supply of p0rn

I'm an 80's baby. Porn was hard to come by growing up. These kids these days got it good. But if and when I have kids, I'm putting a filter on their computers till they are 18.

If they want porn they're gonna have to dig and hustle the way I had to when I was growing up

Awesome topic.

1. Patience has gone by the wayside. Instant gratification has spoiled society. The ability to appreciate the little things is diminishing.

2. Superficialism has become excepted and not nearly as taboo. This has hurt the ability to see beneath, the underneath. To really except someone for who they are, and not how many followers they have or how well IT photoshopped their pictures.

3. A lot of uglies have been uncovered with the prevalence and accessibility of technology. Sounds like a good thing right? Wrong. Attention-whores, those that troll make it difficult to decipher what is true outrage and what is just a message for a reaction, good or bad.

Everyone wants to be more shocking than the other. More daring. Everyone wants to get their user name on a TV show for a web redemption.

What is real, is becoming skewed ever so slightly where we're beginning to except it and adapt to it.

The fact that a lot of people are not the same on this very site than they are in real life is proof enough.

Things are becoming worse because we're not responsible for our actions. That internet bully won't get checked like he needs to. That catfish can continue to lead on that unsuspecting soul.

Things are ugly if you pay attention.

With all of those bad things...The fact that more people have the ability to reach their dream and feed their self esteem is good. Too much of a good thing is never a good thing however.

I think it is too many rappers, too many models, too many comedians, but at least they get to hone their skills and have something to strive for. So it's a good thing.

I wrote a research paper on this subject, here's part of it.

The Internet is one of the best things to come out of the late 20 century, it has made a huge impact on our lives today, the Internet is used by more than “50% of the world population as its applications are found in nearly every field of life,” it has changed the way we learn, play, watch videos, listen to music, and keep in touch with family and friends. The Internet is a great a source for learning and doing research with.

The Internet offers a huge Library of data, finding information today is so easy, all you have to do, is just type in what you are looking for and it shows up in seconds. Going through the information on the Internet is a lot faster than reading an entire book on a certain subject. Do homework is so much easier now with the help of the Internet which is also one of the most important uses of computers in education.

As I mentioned above, communication is one of the biggest advantages of the Internet in

education. Students can contact other students or their teachers via the E-mail if they have queries about any information. Sharing of information, discussions on a particular subject, etc. can be easily carried out by using the Internet. At the same time, teachers can also contact the parents and guardians easily using the Internet.
