The official Chaplain of the Coli
Let me explain. For me, some action movies I can suspend reality (Fast and Furious 6, The Matrix, Kick As, 80's action films, some of the Resident Evil flicks). Then you have other action movies where I just can't do it (i.e. 300). When I watched "300", "G.I. Joe" I was like, "This is so fake. It's like a video game).
But logically I can say the same thing about some of action films I named. Anybody ever experience that? Not saying these films in particular. But in general, some films the actions is "fake", story so unrealistic but I enjoy it (yes, even the 1st and 3rd Transformers for me). Then others do the same thing, but you can't stand it.

out of all the movies you named, 300 is the most blatantly stylized and "comic bookish" as far as it's overall look. it literally looks like a live action comic book. yet that's the movie that you can't suspend your belief for?
I know it doesn't make sense, hence the thread.
