People die over comments like this. What was he thinking? I'm by no means a supporter of violence, but sometimes people bring hell on themselves.

Difference is, on a message board, you're afforded the luxury of anonymity -- at least until you become a public figure and people link you to your posts. Unless it's a post in which it's extremely slanderous with the potential to actually cause financial damage or otherwise to said individual, you're gonna fly under the radar indefinitely.

When you're a public figure, ESPECIALLY as someone who's known for not having any musical talent and only contributes commentary, you have way less lee-way because now people can connect words to a name and face. People can actually challenge you now. You could argue that it's cowardice to be more cautious at this point, but I'd call it being smart. Though optimally, you wouldn't want to be saying crazy things to begin with, just in case it resurfaces and you've got social media ready to cancel you (even though nobody besides R. Kelly ever really DOES get cancelled).

Mind you, it's not like Ak is some innocent Hip Hop journalist that happens to be the target of a lot of rappers' ire, people view him negatively and for good reason. The whole "War on Chiraq" thing made a lot of people upset, like he was Anderson Cooper on the battlefield (actually not even Anderson, cause at least Anderson went to these places to report, I doubt Ak ever did). It was clout, and it worked, but it came at a cost. Most of the crazy things posted on this website wouldn't ever be posted if there was a strong possibility of having to stand behind it. Ak says it anyway, and then wonders why he's met with hostility.

You know... Once Shether dropped, she never really recovered from it since. I think that track did a lot more damage to Nicki than people give it credit for. Pair that with the rise of Cardi B and her own singles just aren't popping like they used to, alongside possibly her just wanting a child... :patrice: Cause if Nicki was winning, she wouldn't feel the need to resort to stuff like this. She shouldn't even be entertaining Ak's fukkery AT ALL, but I also can't blame her for feeling upset over it. That said, she's shooting at everybody these days, and that's probably cause she felt her days were numbered and figured "Well why not, I already put in my time :manny:".

It might also be the influence of the guy she's with too, because imagine hearing 2013 Nicki send Bloods to a journalist's house. She would've acted above it or just roasted Ak on Twitter and let that be the end of it, cause its not like people actually respect Ak. Her doing all this, her personal life must've went through a lot in the past few years.

Shether didnt do it

She had a long period without releasing albums

You don't think so? Cause I think it had to have done at least SOME damage. Had Remy not get too ahead of herself and try to pull a Drake, I don't think Nicki would've bounced back so quickly. She dropped maybe three songs not too long after, and none of them really charted well. They were all decent songs, and even No Frauds you'd think would be relatively big due to it being a Nicki x Wayne x Drake collab. But it just... Didn't happen.

In terms of the going pop thing though, isn't that generally where her fanbase comes from? Most Nicki fans I see on Twitter are women and LGBT folks, and they aren't usually the rap-loving type. They go nuts over pop music though. She was doing collabs with Ariana and was the go-to rapper for female popstars to have on a song. Though that'll probably be Cardi B now.

Her not releasing an album for so long though, that I found weird. I don't even think Queen is a bad album at all, but four years is a long time for a rapper to not drop something, unless they've already reached Veteran-tier like Em, Jay, Nas, Kanye and don't feel the need to compete with this generation. That's why even though I get her frustration, her losing #1 to Travis shouldn't be that surprising because Astroworld was hyped for a while.

Vic Mensa handed AK a lifetime W the minute he released a poor man Limp Bizkit song in drag

Still looked Ak in the eyes and called him a bytch to his face in front a thousands of YouTube viewers and Ak sat on his hands.
