I don't think Ye made Yeezus to sell millions of copies. If you've listened to the album you know its fairly experimental and esoteric. I would guess he made the album more so as a creative venture to add to his legend, to say he dropped this experimental rock/electronic/rap album & people actually listened whereas if ANYBODY else dropped that album very few rap fans would fukk with it.
Cole, on the other hand, wants numbers. It's clear he's willing to sacrifice at least a little of his artistry to have a wider appeal, which is why he's never have another verse that matches either of his Dead Presidents freestyles (classics).
i never doubted him dropping the album. No one had any clue if there was gonna be a physical release on week 1 though, that was the breaker
and cole dropped a frisbee anyways no one wants to buy that shyt, ye came correct
these fukken Yeezy stans kill me![]()
nikka... stop. Parts of Yeezus was good to me (I Am a God, I'm In It, Black Skinhead, New Slaves) because I have an eclectic ear. Those joints are left-field but if you can fukk with other types of music they're actually pretty dope. If you aint like it that's fine, the shyt just wasn't made for you homie.
