This started out a triple threat match and then one person wasn't able to show, so we got an alternate, and then the person that couldn't show ended up showing and so now we have a Fatal Four way matchup for the tunnel family!

This match features four up and coming tunnel names many of which i'm sure you will get used to in the immediate future!
@LauderdaleBoss can up this at his convenience

@FunkDoc1112
@DJ Mart-Kos
@bigdaddy88
@SymbolicOne09

Ladies and gentlemen of coli,
It is time!

Be sure to leave a comment for the competitors, spread the love, and constructive Critique. If it isn't something that can be of assistance to help push the producer forward then it isn't constructive. If possible I want this to be a breeding ground of building people up as oppose to tearing them down. I'm not saying you see a lot of that here, in the (tunnel) but it's definitely near.

I would like to say thank you to all the producers who took the time to submit. It definitely isn't easy at times when you put your heart into the production. With all that said enjoy.

With all that said I hope you enjoy the music.

Mart's link isn't working.

@SymbolicOne09 I like the beat but the vinyl crackle or static is way too much. If you were going for a dusty sample vibe I get it but it doesn't fit this cleaner production style. The mix is off. Everything sounds way louder than the drums and here's no low end so the instruments are coming out too loud.

@bigdaddy88 Beat is damn near perfect except I can barely hear the bass.

@FunkDoc1112 Dope but I'm giving the edge to big.

As I've said every track is good

Here is my breakdown and critique as to why I arrived at my decision.

@DJ Mart-Kos I broke this one down before so I won't bore you with the same critique I listened to this with only 30% of my system output. The track itself is large the drums are in totality its a good track. but the overall output is loud in volume. As I've said getting a loudness meter will be beneficial in terms of getting the appropriate loudness for your tracks. If I were to download the track as is, i'm sure it will be clipping, which makes for mass distortion on many systems that play it back.

@SymbolicOne09 The melodies are dope much like mart-kos the output on this is very loud which makes it difficult to rock long term. The arrangement and melodies are crazy which means that once the volume levels are fixed this will be a monster.

@bigdaddy88 The mixing wasn't as much of a problem as you lead me to believe haha. If you didn't mix it that means the leveling that you did perform was great and covered for any mixing issue. I believe the acapella hampered this track, it was offtime in some spots. Besides that and I was expecting just straight instrumental. Going just by the instrumental however that was dope and its really a toss up between you and @FunkDoc1112 in regards to overall quality. Overall the track was bananas

@FunkDoc1112 The mixing was on point, The beat was incredible. I loved the filtering techniques you displayed, The only thing and I mean the only thing, was that snare didn't sit as well in the mix as everything else in my opinion, However what you displayed was enough to give you the win in my eyes.

For that reason My vote goes to @FunkDoc1112

Great showcase everyone.

Thanks producingfire! for the constructive feedback.
I'm gonna try Voxengo SPAN Loudness meter. (I have zero knowledge about this though...)

I personally tried to compete my beat to Apollo Brown's - Clouds album which is a very loud album. (Which i actually like)

No prob Mart-Kos! I understand a/bing the mixes that's definitely necessary as well.

Knowing what each knob does and having a reason for using every tool, compression reverb and the parameters in each will also help and go along way to cleaner mixes. Ears are tools that need training to hear things. Its the equivalent of going to your old mixes and saying wow.. "I thought that was good back then, but overtime your ears adapt to the changes you hear. Which is why something can sound great one minute and terrible the next.
place the meter on the master chanel and try to get the "True Peak Max" Below "0" if it goes above 0 you're clipping even if it isn't audible to your system.

Keep pushing forward
