Who you got?

This is a very hard one for me becuase Muggs work from cypress hill to the sick jacken, planet Asia, and gza albums all has been fantastic

Alchemist on the other hand has been murdering it for a while now too and arguably has just as strong a discography at this point.

is that really a fair comparison when alc works with madlib's little brother? seems kinda diminutive to me. madlib vs dilla. Alc vs El-P

i dont see how that matters at all

those other comparions are fair. madlib vs dilla is impossible and i refuse to answer lol

ALTHOUGH... madlib has more versatility. but he has more versatility than any rap producer ever

alc takes el p.

Muggs one of the most underrated and innovative producers ever..Listen to Cypress Hills first album then 36 Chambers and you can hear the influence. I think Alchemist is a better producer now but he produces so many more projects than Muggs does so its difficult to compare..I go with Alc by a hair

I think it makes more sense to compare Al and Ohno and put them in a same lane/generational category than to compare Al and Madlib

Madlib and Dilla had Jaylib, so you compare them. Alchemist and Oh No have Gangrene so you compare them

i see what you're saying but alchemist is so much more talented than oh no. he's doing community service in gangrene.

he's more comparable to dilla and lib. if alc teamed up with a just blaze or kanye level producer, they could be>>>>>jaylib.

the first Cypress Hill album beats anything Al ever did but Al is ultimately the guy. Muggs did that late 90's CAC move where he started genre bending and that never works out well.

Muggs still has heat, though. That Muggs Vs._ series was chock full of scary ass beats. Jacken, GZA, Planet Asia. All fire.

I want Muggs vs. Masta Killa.

Muggs by a landslide victory even ALC would tell you that.

Dude has a foundation of platinum records from Cypress Hill, Ice Cube, House of Pain ect...

a landslide though? :comeon:

alchemist has been consistently dropping heat since the early 2000s and he's still keeping it fresh

muggs was influential, in his time period, and has classics under his belt

but of beat for beat, album for album, alchemist takes it pretty handily
