Travis Scott's father taught DJ Premier how to use the drums
Travis Scott uncle taught DJ Premier how to do bass
Travis Scott's grandmother was his English teacher

so he's a plant just like everyone else. not surprising. The music business is incestuous as fukk. Which is why no one calls out the wack shyt - everyone's got some shytty act they're trying to put on

any cliff notes, specifically Nas or Hov related? Curious what Premo thinks about 4:44, production wise.

yo, this is actually a great interview that should be watched.

Preem says some stuff I haven't heard before, and then covers stuff I've heard many times but with more depth. And that's coming from someone who's watched damn near every Premo interview

my favorite tidbits about 1:01:00 in is him mentioning how Tribe used to be a staple in The Tunnel. And that's not surprising. Always goes back to my #1 - gotta be hard. It doesn't matter if you're 'positive' or 'negative', your music has to be street. It's gotta bang. Check The Rhime bangs. Tribe's shyt in general banged harder than all the other 'conscious' acts.

and the random tidbit at 1:02:15 about dudes wifing girls Preem, Mobb Deep and em had already smashed, on some "we would never wife these chicks that dudes be wifing now". New gen lawst yet again :dead:

Don't really have the time to type cliffs (and honestly, it's DJ Premier - that's an instant watch :beli:) but he talks about a bit about how Nas writes in the studio. Covering his mouth mumbling to himself and Preem would be sitting back like "wtf is he coming up with" :russ:

Goes into detail about how "I Gave You Power" came about, as well as "Nas Is Like". Also talks briefly about how "So Ghetto" & Reasonable Doubt (D'Evils) came together.
