One the most underrated albums of the 00s. The instrumental version makes you appreciate Quik during that time period even more.

The production was good on this album but this is where I kinda was done with quik as a rapper, his vocals got a bit too corny for me...safe and sound was his peak as a rapper...

and the hooks were subpar for the most part...
That's the problem when it comes to Quiks music , he always has weak hooks

44 bricks...acre shaker
i thought, cause i remember seein' the ad for that shyt somewhere, i think it was a used cd store i use to hit it up and buy shyt from
that album won't quik from the 95' to 00' but i appreciated it for what it was from the technical standpoint. it was different but for some reason some of it appealed to me

shock g had just dropped that fear of a mixed planet like the year before and i remember i bought that bytch for 5 dollars from a used cd store
shyt surprised the hell outta me too, cause i ain't know it was gon THAT good
we had a place called cd warehouse..

where u could trade, sell or buy

i found a lot of gems there.. raw fusion, that shock u talkin about...swoop g( i was lookin 4 that 20 dollars song for years..due to murder was the case..didnt know the song, or the artist...but the cashier said swoop was snoop cousin..that was a random buy as hell and damn near past out when i found the song on that album)

i bought over 7000 worth of cds..for the price of 43 dollars from that store...they had a $.25- 1.00 bin at the locations i would go...

i was a huge crate digger..when i was out jackin cars..didnt wanna work for nobody...it was easy to hit a lick...flip their ride get 4-6000 for it..dependin on the car..get the music out..

take the money i jus made..n blow on music..

another blind buy was dave grusin

tripped out when i discovered him..quik samples alot of his stuff...i found out later on...he had a interview where he was buyin old albums..n pulled a couple of dave's albums..im like owe shyt..i been jammin dave 4 years...

oh you a music head, fo real. i hear that, bruh
that's how i am
i don't have the collection i use to have. a lot of my shyt got fukked up, lost, stolen and then i lost an external hard drive that had a shyt load of my music on it
i probably got like 10 cds right now which is crazy when i look back on all the money i've spent on cds. i don't even wanna know the amount to be honest

don't you love when you find gems like that? that's how i was with the shock g shyt. i bought that bytch for 5 dollars and i couldn't believe it, bruh
i found a lot of shyt a used cd store my sell. i use to always be back n forth buyin' and sellin' shyt back to em for somethin' better or what i thought might be better
because sometimes i'd take a chance on a cd even if i'd only heard just 1 or 2 of the artists' work. but i was interested in hearin' somethin' else

oh i see you up on dave grusin too. yeah, i learned about him through quik. quik mentioned him in 2 different interviews

yeah quik was ready to snap at one point in it...u can tell he has bad nerves..20muhfukkas talkin at the same time n quik..starts havin a nervous tick

i caught that too, lol
man, i feel like quik's talent is still bein' wasted
with the talent he has, he should be behind a lot of big mainstreams albums where it be for engineer work, producin', mixin'/masterin' or all of the above
he should be workin' with a who's who of people kinda like mike dean is
