I love projects like these, and this does not disappoint

You can really see how dude was a visionary, even before Endtroducing completely changed the game

is the tracklist in chronological order?

this is good listening, "affections" and "perilous journey" are great.

shame what happened to him in the last decade after he released "the private press". almost seems as if he disliked the box everyone wanted him to go back to ("endtroducing"), and then came that whole "outsider" and hyphy garbage.

funny, i feel something similar happened with rjd2, who was constantly compared to shadow's older stuff. his music then went in a different trajectory also.

I like old DJ Shadow, I hate what he has become now though, I think he should just do him, I feel like he's been trying to hard to reach a larger audience.

Endtroducing is his pinnacle. I even liked Private Press and have the vinyl. Everything else is weird.

i will say, as much as i HATED Outsider, the more listens i gave his last joint the more i enjoyed it. there was some ungodly crap, but also a good amount of fire.
