I'd rather own the disc than wait for 43 gigs of space to download and to have that much hdd space taken of one file.
Also, even these "quality" rips can have dips in quality or other defects at random parts of the film or be missing extra features. If I like something enough to want to own, I have and see no problem with actually spending money on it and also, won't run into the above issues whatsoever.
If I just wanna watch a potentially janky quality film, I'd rather just stream.
