DMs/private conversations not working properly

I just started a new conversation/dm thread and it completely disappeared out of my inbox/sent box, I also suspect my last few dms haven't reached the recipients. Anyone else experiencing this and know of a workaround?

Not sure what would cause this, and Brook (who is basically MIA) handles the tech related issues with the site.
