NEW YORK (AP) — Rapper DMX has been arrested for failure to pay child support just as he was about to perform at Radio City Music Hall.

A spokesman for the New York City Sheriff's Department tells WPIX-TV the 44-year-old rapper was taken into custody Friday for several "issues outstanding."
He said those included $400,000 worth of unpaid child support, a warrant issued by the city of White Plains for bail jumping and a robbery complaint out of Newark, New Jersey. No charges have been filed in the Newark case.

The rapper's real name is Earl Simmons. He had been scheduled to perform at the Master of Ceremony concert at Radio City.

I was supposed to see him last night in Pittsburgh. Of course after he was arrested they cancelled the show. My boy is a huge DMX fan and he grabbed tickets. 2nd time in under a year we were supposed to see X and it didn't work out.

Last year DMX was advertised as the opener for 2 Chainz show last year, and he actually wasn't there. Turned out it was a fault of the Promoter.. X wasn't ever really gonna be there but they advertised that he was anyway. We got refunded, went back in and told the people that we tried to get refunded but couldn't. They believed us and let us back in.. saw Chainz perform for free.

Couple months later, my same boy hits me up like. I think X is actually gonna be here this time.. he's the headliner.. it's being promoted by the actual venue, and he has a show in NY the night before so it has to be legit. So I'm like "fukk it, I'm in". Night before the show, the news comes out that he was arrested and we're like "Can't make this shyt up" LMAO
