Its not that they blew up. The problems were that they felt they were doing Irv/Ja a favor more than anything, which makes sense. Cuz Ja was up-n-coming & was always under Irv while Jay & X had success
and were doing their thing with their own crews, but they all got connected & had history. But Irv & Ja were still building their label (even tho Gotti was on as an A&R/exec at Def Jam) as X & Jay were already on. So they felt it was more to help him (Ja) than themselves. Had nothing to gain from it. That mixed with them falling in & out with each other (aka ego).

I never heard either party express that, citation? And if Jay even stated that than he's fuccboi because he had no problem telling Ja to hand him "Can I get a what", which ended up being Jay's biggest hit of his career, at that time.

Which was part of why Ja ended up on Hard Knock Life tour. Dont forget its a business & shyt like that been happening for decades before most of us were born.
I believe it was either Ja or Irv said it. Believe it was Ja tho. But its not something i never thought of before tho. But it does make sense when you think about it.
