Exactly why I’ll never do it. I don’t need randoms and the government knowing what genes I have

i don't have a problem with this part:
Drugmakers also want access. Ancestry.com and 23andMe — the largest companies that, combined, have DNA data of 15 million users — both share anonymized genetic data with outside researchers and companies.
those are the people i want curing shyt.

It's like none of these people have seen a scifi movie or heard of herietta lacks...:mindblown: Don't trust the govt with YOUR DNA. There's already people trying to make sure you can copyright your dna genome on some next level shyt, so in case the govt does steal your genetic information... AND USE IT FOR NEFARIOUS MEANS... :stopitslime: Such as stem cell cloning regeneration, organ replacements, artificial embryo & egg harvesting.... You guys think it's a game...:mjpls:

Why the ambivalence?
Tradeoffs

You voluntarily turnover your dna to the market without some sort of contract preventing the sharing of your dna...i blame you when it gets shared.
If any laws/contracts were broken, take them to court.

:yeshrug:
I honestly don’t even think those people really care…

Edit: I do enjoy the govt is evil don’t trust them with your dna narrative from certain posters. I guess government is only good when it’s doing what they like
