Only in America is the idea to pick up litter, scour it for DNA, and penalize the culprit an actual idea vs. just putting that litter in the trash and moving on.


And no it’s not feasible. Building a database of everyone’s DNA wouldn’t go over well. I know ancestry and those services have it yadda yadda, but it wouldn’t go well.

Deeper, some “litter” may blow out of trash cans, may have two people’s DNA, etc. it’s just not a realistic solution. If you see litter and it bothers you, throw it away.


A much better solution is to use taxpayer dollars to fund homeless people to pick up litter and help them out
