Do all wrestling promotions go by a step by step match script?

So watching Unreal and the women's triple threat Mania match. Jason Jordan pretty much produced the whole match, knew what holds were coming and what counters. I didn't know the entire match was like this. I figured some spots here and there, but I always thought it was more improv and freestyle. Are TNA and AEW the same way? And does WWE always do this or is it only for Tv. But with house shows you might have a little more creative freedom in your matches.

It literally depends on the talent.

But yeah some wrestlers need to go over every detail. Owens I know for a fact just has an outline mostly going into his matches, so it varies.

But I doubt the situation is the same for Cody vs like Io or something

It's become more commonplace but it's also not a new thing. A match can be called almost entirely in the ring, can be partially rehearsed or can be entirely rehearsed. With a triple threat match, there's likely going to be a lot of planned spots because it's a lot harder for three individuals to be calling a match at the same time than a singles contest. Macho Man was famous for taking someone aside and rehearsing a lot of what he wanted to do.

It's not a slight on the performers. The producers are there to help put a match together but veteran performers are going to have a lot of say in what they want to do. I doubt CM Punk and Gunther needed a lot of help to structure their match. They probably called a lot of it in the ring.
