Do any of you brehs that are 100% straight take PREP (or a similar drug) as a precaution?

As I got older, I also became more discerning in the girls that I would jump on (moreso because I would assume that if it's too easy it's some sort of setup). And nowadays I'm less likely to mess with a girl that identifies as "bi", but it's still not an automatic "no".

I know most cats here are older, and possibly less promiscuous, but we also have some passport Bros on here too. Anyway, I am wondering since I always see those damn commercials. If it's a drug that doesn't really have any harsh side effects* and it could potentially prevent you from HIV, then it might be a no-brainer if you are a male still out there playing the field.

*I did zero research before making this post. I was looking for people that may have real life experiences.

HIV/AIDS rates for vaginal sex is extremely rare in developed countries. If you aren't in Russia or [insert African country] you could have unprotected sex with a woman who has HIV and not get it. I wouldn't advise that obviously but it's just an example of how low the rate is.

No reason for a heterosexual man to use that medication, even if you live in Atlanta.

As was said before if you are a straight man you don't need that stuff. Just wearing a condom properly will prevent transmission even if you do come in contact with it and engage in anal sex. Use a fukk ton lube use good name brand condoms tho. If you engage in raw sex with people you barely know that's probably something you should stop doing...

I used to do it in college because "it felt better" got the clap twice. I was young horny and ignorant. Luckily I got no pregnancy or permanent shyt like herpes. But I was fukkin mostly other students then in the real world? Yeah nah that's how you get them incurable shyts. Just strap up and you should be good

Wouldn't Thailand, Colombia, DR, Philippines, etc. also be on that list? Also, why Russia? I never heard that rates were crazy out there.

Okay, these are the kind of things that I would be concerned with. Obviously, no one is trying to hook up with a chick that is HIV positive, but if you didn't know before sleeping with her that she had been living that polyamorous life where she might have been sleeping with other polyamorous people (including down low men), then I thought it might be a worthwhile drug to consider.

If it messes up your immune system though, then I can't see it being worth it though, and that you'll probably be fine as long as you do your due diligence beforehand.
