In the context of the playoffs it’s football because your season is over because it’s a single game elimination unless we are talking about game 7 in MLB or NBA
That’s a great question tbh. They all hurt about the same but I’d say baseball hurts the worst if I had to pick one because baseball moves so slow so it’s like torture almost.
Seeing base hit after base hit, and then having to wait for each pitch.
Then you’ve got the catcher having a meeting with the pitcher so it’s so much time being burnt and you’re sitting there on the edge of your seat like, come on somebody make a play to end this inning
In real time.. the worst has to be baseball.. you up 7 runs and no matter what pitcher I put in as manager I can't stop you?? Then stupid shyt happen like a wild throw to first base or dropped ball in the outfield that's typically routine starts to happen
Football is the game that relies the most on "momentum" I've played high school and even in a few flag football leagues.. if you down 13.. it might be something as small as batting down a pass on 3rd down that turns the table and now when you come out on offense and one good play gets shyt moving now you score and down 3
Comebacks are more accepted in the NBA the most, and 2nd the NFL because of the nature of how the game is played. Baseball comebacks are usually ones that come out of nowhere where a team could be playing mistake free baseball, then the other team has one inning where everything goes right for them
Nah. Basketball teams go on runs and get hot/cold. If you have a 20 point lead through 3 quarters you can't always feel safe. Plus you have 7 games to play.
It's far worse in football because a lot more has to go wrong for you to lose a lead. The tension is much higher because it's one and done.
another team marching down the field on you while your offense can't protect the ball is at least in baseball and basketball a failure is spread out over multiple games so you can process all the grief
