Depends on how you look at it, from what perspective, and at what age/birth year we're cutting off generations.
The problem with questions like these is usually people compare the WORST of one generation to the BEST of another generation. For example, I'm sure you'll get somebody in here comparing MLK to Chief Keef and explaining that's why a prior generation was better.

Survive the drought
This. I don't really fukk with most old dudes cause they are stupid. I know people say respect your elders, but I choose wisely with them fools.
Black men back in the day were just as shytty/trifling.
Their women just hid it better. A lot of their triflingness was just hidden by the fact that women didn't have their own income and divorce was discouraged. Plus, black people didn't have as much access to media so things seemed better than what they were.

Not really...but the same things that are happening in our community now was happening in the past generations as well...only difference is we celebrate the negative wheres in the past generations, they kept it on the low.
