Do I need to watch all of the Avenger member's movies before seeing the Avengers?

Absolutely.

Thor is the most directly related to the plot, you'll understand the antagonist's motive way more clearly then you would have. Cap and Iron Mans are pretty important too. Hulk can be skipped, but it's a good movie.

Just check em all out man, experience how it's meant to be experienced.
