One of the main problems was that they had NO IDEA how to book NOC and Battleground to keep the angle interesting. They were able to not completely fukk things up with all the consecutive beatings by giving Bryan and the faces a nice stretch of wins, but the Dusty Finishes and the weird ass booking after that "locker room has Bryan's back" moment killed the angle dead.
The weirdest thing of it all it's that I don't think Bryan is the biggest loser in this angle. I think Orton and the rest of the faces not named Punk or Rhodes have been more damaged than D-Bry.
As soon as Triple H started playing tweener, this whole storyline fell apart.
That's what you get when you try to get over as the biggest heel and leave the champ (Orton) as your lackey. Once Triple H started doing the weird tweener shyt fans stopped giving a fukk because there was no more "big boss" to defeat.
And in the meantime, they made sure winning the title wasn't a big deal.
