Do international sales count as albums sold?

For instance..Yeezuz has sold about 700k in the US..it's certified platinum for a million albums shipped..but how many did it sell internationally..can't find that info..did it actually sell over a million copies? Cuz that would mean that sound scan only scans albums sold in the U.S right?

Soundscan is for the us only. Every country has differen means of tracking sales

It sold that much in the US yeah, but of course international sales count in the total sales. But you get the plaques based on US sales.

If you are referring to certifications (gold, platinum etc.), only US sales count.

• Only domestic sales and sales to U.S. military post exchanges may be included. The requesting company must separate PX sales from other accounts on sales sheets. Export sales outside the United States are not included in certification.

Ok..that means Rick Ross who you guys say have sold about 350k is actually like over 400k when you count international sales
