This song is a monster. So much so that Future leaked Good Morning on some "I didn't know" type shyt in order to ride Beyonce's coat tails. If you're going to give away hits (or in this case a few bars worth of melody) then keep your mouth shut.

But I digress , when this shyt plays in a bar/club/lounge/basement birthday party all of the bytches go nuts. And everyone knows that only bytches (not a shot at you OP) are still listening to the radio because they can't figure out pandora.

the story from what I picked up is: Future and Detail worked on Drunk in Love. THEE Drunk in Love. They wrote the song.. it was a demo for Beyonce. She sat on it and sat on it (for 7 months or so) and the general feeling was that she wasn't gonna do anything with it. So Future and Detail go back into the studio, because of course, they love the song. They redo the song with the same melodys, and "Good Morning" is born. It's intended to be Futures lead single for his Honest album...

and then Beyonce puts her shyt out... There goes Futures plans... and while Detail still has song writing credits on the song, Future is noticeably absent


even though he's been pretty PC about it, you can tell he feels some type of way about it. He's just not trying to mess up money.

Yo I'm curious to know if it's this bad in other parts of the country as it is here in NY.

Here if you put on hot 97 or power 105 and you switch back and forth here and there for like 20 minutes you will undoubtedly, absolutely, positively hear Drunk In Love at least once. Like there isn't even a shred of doubt. I don't care it it's a classic block or an old school block or whatever. Trust me they will break that shyt and put on Drunk In Love. I have never heard a song more played on new york hip hop radio in my life.

They got that shyt goin in like 15 min cycles non stop 24/7. Like if I'm just goin somewhere and I hop in the car first thing that pops on is Drunk In Love. Never fails. I didn't even listen to the album and I know this shyt by heart already.

Jay and Beyonce don't care what you think they are going to make a classic even if they have to drill it in your head.

hell yea...where im at we have 2 radio stations and its been several times where i hear the song on one station and since im tired of hearin it, i change the station...and Drunk in Love is playing on the other station at the same time. Or its been times where the song comes on, and then about 45 mins later they playin it again.
