You need to get a second hustle and grind it out for the next 6 months...... No need to default unless you can by 8-10 years with having bad credit... Everybody aint built for that life.....

You can keep the credit cards and not ruin your credit score by maintaining a decent budget. Firstly, CHOOSE how you want to pay. I use my CC's for everything, as a protection measure because I shop online A LOT. Secondly, When I get paid I pay off the card in full. You don't want to not pay the credit cards, but MAYBE ..transfer the Balance to another Card, close out paid card and slowly pay off what you need too while making also having savings for yourself. Things always look impossible when we're in situations, but I grantee you there is a way out.

Get a 2nd job on weekends. It helps.
Put tax refund to credit cards.
Don't default...when ya car goes to shyt, and need one asap, credit is all you got. Plus, most jobs and apartments and houses require good credit anyways.

Sure...give me a budget to work with. Have you got a job lined up, or do you want to come out to NYC and just hit the ground running?
