I agree with u for the most part, but I think lyrics do have a lil bit to do with flow also, atleast for me because I look for rappers who are good multi-syllable rhymers & have good rhyme schemes, & usually those who have good multi's & rhyme schemes like "Royce Da 5'9" are usually the best flowers to me, & I mean flows that sound nice even without a beat.. nikkas like Gucci need a beat to be rythmic on it & what not, without one he wouldnt sound as hot.. but when it comes to a beat it does have alot to do with counting ur syllables mostly & hitting the hi-hats right.

to me in textcee then syllalble count matters but if u rapping over a beat or rapping acapella then most people can't tell if the phrase is uneven anyway
