I was talking to a friend who works as a doc in a prison and he brought this up, which I thought was an interesting point. It never made sense, especially since sex offenders are looked down on and ironically usually rapedin prison. Why would a convict risk the sex offender tag by raping another inmate?

Another fantasy is "prison justice." Wherein prisoners punish other inmates for the crimes that they're sentenced to.
An example that you may have seen recently was that dude that is accused of killing his mom for insurance money. People are talking like that dude is going to get it especially hard in prison because of the circumstances surrounding his case. Not true. He's just another nutter in the system.
