Serious question.
I get a lot of flack and resistance for calling out actions I see detrimental to our families and communities. I do the same in real life. I saw my dad check, correct and fight violators and threats if need be. So personally I just have a need to intervene when things are a lot of line.
A lot of the flack I get now seems to be from men. I could say our women need to stop twerking and showing their azz so much. And I get as much flack from men as I do from women. Seems a lot of men have never seen a woman checked or corrected. They're use to seeing women do all the checking and calling things out. So having male authority feels unnatural to most men.
I think they've been taught to protect and support mom no matter what. Never tell mom she's wrong. And attack any man that does, even if she's wrong.
So we have a generations of people that reject all authority figures that's not a loud woman. So many men are afraid to challenge women. Black men are damn near voiceless when it comes to Black issues. Look how they Attacked Cube and even Phyllicia Rashad when she rubs sisters wrong.
I think this a very serious issue in a community that isn't discussed. Women dont teach HONOR nor do they know how to teach a man to lead men or be a respectful man. How can they?
