In the words of the infamous Corey Holcomb "You owe it to yourself to settle fellas." I think men settle more. It's a lot of single women in their late 30s and early 40s still waiting for Mr right to sweep them off their feet.

I think women in their heads have more unrealistic requirements which makes it seem as though they settle more.

But if we could attach a value to actual worth, I'd think we'd find much more men settle than women especially when we talk about socioeconomical background.

I think most people settle for each other so I can't say whether men do it more than woman or vice versa. I do think women get fed up with what they settled for faster than men tho.
