I mean, each player and situation is completely different. If I'm from Spain...and I could be a god in Spain and make 3 mil a year...or be a 4th option on a US team and make 5 mil a year....I dunno what I would do.

Some reasons are for money.

Some reasons are for stardom.

Some reasons are for playing time.

Some reasons are to be closer to your family.

Some reasons are political.

Theres no one size fits all reason why someone would decide to play in another league besides the NBA.

Something still sounds off. You tellin me all americans that play ball in euro/asian countries are getting paid 100% tax free?

Generally, overseas players are not residents of the U.S. or any state and therefore should owe little or no state or local income taxes. However, some states (for example, the State of New York) are very aggressive in pursuing taxpayers who have relocated overseas, particularly former residents who still maintain ties (for example, bank accounts, apartments, or houses) to the state

But they still pay income taxes to the country that they work in tho, right?

I don't know about nba level talent cause I'd imagine they'd rather be in the nba and usa if they could but college level players go overseas and have it nice. I know a couple guys who did it for years making decent money traveling and getting still treated like a sports star basically cause they're tall and black :wow:

What country is this, because the Euro and the British Pound rapes the dollar :heh:

I'm speaking generally bro....some players prefer playing abroad, especially if they feel they are getting more than what they would get in the NBA. Assuming they have the option.
