I mean as an artist my self

Its hard for me to look at certain artists

not do the work of creating the cadences, or the flows or even write all the lyrics and be cool with it

I mean guess cuz i look at it different because i make music myself and because i grew up in hip hop where theres this huge aspect of ego attachted to this culture i grew up in so in all honesty I wouldnt mind group efforts in creating music but because the music created is usually something that contains bragodocious content about the greatness of yourself...it takes away my view of the artist

But i can see why fans who just care for the music wont care but meh

There's no point in caring. Hip hop has never ever been pure and never will be. Rappers used to be here today, gone tomorrow, now rap is an actual career. To think they write 6 albums worth of lyrics without the input of others is ridiculous.

I write and try and whip up a nice beat every now and again (nikka need something to fall back on incase these burgers don't put a nikka on) and I try my hardest to be different when it comes to writing but still maintain a rap/hiphop feel. but personally, I could give a fukk less as to who is and isn't writing. if I was in the game and had a fan base, me worrying about another nikkas paper isn't going to help my bank account.

the rap game is not about creativity as much as it's about money now. so all that purist talk is dumb, regardless if you stop listening to every nikka who has a writer now, you will never stop music companies from hiring writers to help their bottom-line which is NEVER the artist and ALWAYS the dollar.
